The American Academy of Sciences is devoting a special issue of its journal PNAS to the contribution of transitions studies to addressing environmental issues, in which ATTER is present.
What trajectories lead to transitions, and under what conditions do they contribute to a more sustainable world? Since the 2000s, transition studies have been seeking to shed light on this issue of decision-making and transformation.
ATTER members Claire Lamine and Terry Marsden explore this question by comparing food system models in France and the UK from the 1950s to the present day.
